Community Organizer Trailblazer Award

Paul Green is a committed family member and lifelong advocate for justice, equity, and community wellness.

A founding member of Brother 2 Brother, Paul has spent decades creating affirming spaces for Black men and LGBTQIA+ individuals. His early professional journey included service in the early 80’s as a travel agent with women & minority owned Pizazz Travel, and as an administrator for the Black-owned Liberty Bank of Seattle, laying a foundation for his dedication to Black economic empowerment.

In the 1990s, Paul served for several years on the Seattle Health Department’s HIV Allocation Committee, bringing a compassionate voice to critical public health decisions during the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis. Since 1999, he has faithfully served as a Deacon at Sojourner Truth Ministries, Seattle; offering spiritual guidance and steadfast support through times of deep need.
